Please contact the Education Director with any questions about these programs. Tour Cost We ask $1 per student per program. The required number of adults, one adult per ten children, are admitted free. Each additional adult is asked to pay $1. There is a $20 deposit required for each scheduled tour, which counts toward the total cost of the trip. If this deposit is not received by the date specified in your confirmation letter we cannot guarantee your time slot will remain available. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled tour will result in the loss of the deposit. How to Book A Children's Tour School group reservation requests are not handled over the phone. Please download the reservation form, complete it, and return it to the farmhouse via fax or regular mail. Be sure to fill out the form entirely, and include two potential dates and times for your trip. |

Artifact Discovery: Learning from "Things" Grades 3 and up, $1, 90 minutes Spring and Summer only 30 student maximum for grades 3 - 6 25 student maximum for grades 7 and up. Students will study artifacts, primary source documents and photographs, handle reproduction objects, and visit our military hut to learn the importance of historic preservation and how objects can help us understand the past. While this program uses Revolutionary War era artifacts to illustrate how archaeologists draw information out of objects, the Revolutionary War is not covered in-depth in this program. This program fulfills the following curriculum standards; Social Studies - 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 2.1, 3.1, 3.2, 5.4 English Language Skills - 1.1, 1.2, 2.2,, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2 |
