FREE, reservations recommended, as space is limited. Adults and children over 10. Saturday, March 20 History Play Date - Searching for Spring 10am Young visitors are invited to enjoy a Spring-themed story then become spring detectives. Searching high and low in our garden we will look for the earliest signs that Winter is over and Spring is on the way! (Recommended for age 4 and up) FREE, reservations required, as space is limited. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Spring Garden Hours* Saturday, March 20 until Thursday, May 13 Thursdays 11am-6pm; Saturdays 10am -4:30pm; Sundays 10am-4:30pm Explore the Dyckman garden during the spring bulb season during our extended garden hours. The garden will be open for longer hours on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays so that visitors may enjoy the many flowers in bloom. Garden Entrance is FREE. *museum hours will remain the same APRIL Wednesday, March 31 - Sunday, April 4 Fake History Week at Dyckman Farmhouse Museum Regular Open Hours: Wed-Sat 11am-4pm and Sun 12-4pm In honor of April Fool's day, visitors to the farmhouse during this week can fact check their history and learn the most enticing myths about the Dyckmans. Newest edition of Ye Olde Dyckman Gossip Rag available for all visitors. $1 for Adults, free for children 10 and under Monday, April 5 Historians in the Making - Guided Tour 2pm This interactive guided tour helps kids learn about the history of the Dyckman Farmhouse by doing some historical research themselves. They will have the opportunity to study old maps and images of the farmhouse, and use their keen eyes to learn about what life in the Farmhouse may have been like in the past. This tour will start promptly at 2pm, please arrive on time! (Recommended for children age 8 and up) FREE, reservations required, as space is limited. All children must be accompanied by an adult. MAY Sunday, May 2 History Play Date - Portraits on the Backporch 11am Before cameras were invented, one way to preserve memories was to have an artist paint your portrait. After studying our portrait of Jacob Dyckman, kids will become portrait artists themselves as they draw inspiration from our beautiful garden and each other. (Recommended for children age 5 and up) Reservations required, as space and materials are limited. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
